How to Reach Vakkaru Maldives [Baa Atoll]

How to Get to Vakkaru Maldives? Vakkaru Maldives Resort is located at a distance of 125 km (68 Nautical Miles) from Male International Airport and transfer arrangements are taken care of by the resort. For transfers, there are two modes available- Domestic flights and Seaplane Flight. Let’s read about both modes of transport in detail.

By Seaplane Transfer

You can choose to travel from Male International Airport to the resort by a scenic Seaplane flight which takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes of flight travel time. Seaplane transfers are available only in daylight hours between Standard Transfer Timings: 6:00am to 3:00pm. So you need to reach the Male International Airport by 3 pm to enjoy same day transfers by Seaplane flights or you will have to choose the alternate mode of transfer.

The charges for the round trip transfers are:

• Adult: USD 830 per adult (exclusive of tax)
• Child (2 -11 years): 50% of adult rate
• Infant (Below 2 years): complimentary

Transfer charges mentioned here are for two ways and one-way charges are calculated as 60% of return prices.

By Domestic Flight + Speedboat Transfer

You can also choose to travel the distance from Male International Airport to the resort by domestic flight followed by speedboat journey. The travel time by domestic flight is approximately 30 minutes and by Speedboat is 25 minutes. The nearest domestic airport to the resort is Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport and after reaching there you will be guided for further Speedboat transfers.

The charges for the round trip transfers are:

• Adult: USD 830 per adult (exclusive of tax)
• Child (2 -11 years): 50% of adult rate
• Infant (Below 2 years): complimentary

This mode of transfer is the only alternative for guests who are reaching Male after 3:00 pm and looking for same day transfers. You must share your flight arrival schedules along with complete detail (flight number and full name) with the resort a minimum of 96 hours in advance as per your scheduled arrivals to avoid delays.
